Best Ever
Opening
Over
: On a fine
Saturday morning of 21st May 2011, Match was against a visiting tough team.
Their striking batsmen were all set to thrash our bowling line up. Ajay Started
his opening spell with rest all fielders looking on curious. It seemed as if
nature paused a moment to see the happenings. It was a clean caught and bold,
The striking opener from the opponent team is now back. Came down another
renowned hitter from the opponent team. hit the ball hard, but a smart fielding
by Abhiskek at leg face and a quick throw back to the bowler's end made the
magic. A clear Run out. Next four balls were just formalities to give the
opponent enough time to recover from the shock. So after first over they were 0
runs at the cost of 2 wickets. |
|
The Toughest Match ever
: Playing
against a team of all great bowlers with our team just having 3 proficient
batsmen in hand was like snatching flesh from the jaws of a shark. We had this
match against another tough team of that time led by Koti. They batted first and
scored 92 in 12 overs. With just 3 batsmen with proficiency, we started batting.
We saw a dare devil act of batting by all our men in blue. Then came the last
over. 10 runs to make with our last man standing against their best bowler. A
front foot magic swing of his bat crashed the yorker to straight boundary. then
after few singles came the last ball with 2 runs to make. Their bowler preferred
to close in the fielders and go for a short run spin. the ball pitched 4 feet
front of the batsman and bounced over his head, missed by the keeper too. Apart
from the wide it was one bye run too. We won the match at a whisker. Even today
also the memory of that day makes us thank GOD once again. |
|
The Easiest Match Ever
:
Playing against another all time strong opponent for a 15 over match we scored 188 for 3 wickets. That day
was the most memorable day of our cricket team as we scored the highest total
sore as a team in that ground. Our then vice captain who scored a spectacular cent
that day. In return we crumbled the opponent to just 74 all out. |
|
Chasing a Mountain
Score :
Once during a match against Aswini team, we chased a score of 143 in just 12 overs.
Against all good bowlers and one among them even bowling with an ascent exactly
similar to Srilankan pacer Mallinga, we could reach our target. That was the most
challenging score we ever had. We had to make scores at the run rate of 12run
per over. But from starting only our batsmen had kept a good striking rate of 15
per over and thus we won the match by reaching the target with loosing just 4 of
our boys and even 2 more balls still to spare. |

An Over
with 6 wicket
haul : Pradeep had rejoined the team after a long gap of 2
months. Just Next was a match against one more tough opponent Team on 11th of July 2010. The
opponent team was quite stable in batting that day. None of the wickets were
falling till even the 6th over and they were silently cruising in towards the
easy target. Suddenly after the over, captain waved hand towards Pradeep
fielding at Deep mid wicket to come for the spell. As it was after a long gap of
2 months that he is coming to the ground, others were bit scared about the
consequence, but in the first over he tool 4 wickets ( all bolds ) and gave just
1 run. That's all. The opponent team crumbled like a stack of cards. Next over
was just as usual by another bowler and then again Pradeep continued and took two more wickets.
The whole opponent team got all out falling much short of the target. Just
slight memories of Pradeep's performance that day still makes our hair stand
still. |

One among the Spectacular Centuries
: In a 15 over match where each side have to face just 90 balls, hitting
century by any batsman
is just another miracle.
Anand's
personal bat has that magic honey dipped power of delivering the best of
ever seen shots of cricket history. He not only scores at an average strike
rate of more than 200, but also tactically drives the balls across the boundary
in all 360 degrees. During his best debut match against an all time strong
opponent team he scored his maiden century with 7 sixes and 11 fours. The day
that made others pay a standing ovation to this legendary batsman. |

Highest Margin
Win
: Recovering from a neck to neck battle the earlier day when we
chased our most challenging opponent Team score of 165 runs in 15 overs but just
fell short by 1 run, We set the history by defeating them on Sunday, the 29th of
August 2010 with a Mountain margin of 117 runs. Batting first we scored 167/5 in
20 overs with Sam bhai being the highest scorer ( 68 Runs comprising of 7 sixes
and 3 fours ) and most appreciable highest ever first wicket partnership of 107
runs. And during bowling we nailed the opponent team
all out for just 50 runs in just 7 overs. All most all of their top order
batsmen got out for duck. Spectacular Bowling performance by Srinu
Bhaiya and PQ. Surprisingly all bowlers took one one wickets
on the first ball of their spell, plus Viraj took a maiden over too. This match
is our highest margin WIN ( 117 runs margin ) next to our 114 runs win against
another giant team during 2009 winter( we had scored 188/3 in 15 overs against
YSCC team and blown them all out for just 74 Runs ). |
|
Highest No. of Hat-tric Overs :
After
a brief gap of few weeks, Manti
Bhai ( Sri. Laxmi Narayan Mishra ) rejoined
the game with a brisk of accuracy, concentration, Coordinated and tactically
tricky skills. All this technical features reflected in his bowling spells there
after. He played two matches and both the matches he has touched that magic
line, the Hat trik mark. Both the games were played against a vitally strong
team. Their top order batsmen were blow with knock out spells by Manti Bhai. His
in swingers with a mix of varied length and heights gifted him in return, mostly
middle stick hit Bowleds and caught behind the wickets. His performance as a
bowler has set a new milestone in Bowling. |
|
Maximum First Ball Wickets :
Sri. Laxmi Narayan
Mishra bears the honor of maximum first ball wickets of the team. In his tenure
of 218 matches he has bowled around 523 overs where in for Fifteen times he has got
first wicket on his first ball. A great versatile bowler who has a complete
control on his line and length. |

The Day that counts
to Wicket
Keeping
: It was the last league match of Fusion O 15 tournament and
the most crucial match for the team to qualify for the quarterfinals of the
tournament. Playing for the first time against
a completely newly formed team, every
ball by ball progress was increasing our curiosity. Keeping the wicket behind
was Sri. Siba Ram Baral. Came a cross road where in most of the bats men started
hitting shots and playing aggressively. The outer ground being a bit wet due to
last night rain and moisture, the ball was wet and was getting sneak off the
bat. Siba did not miss this opportunities and quickly
gearing up into aggressive keeping mode, he caught 7 catches behind the
wicket and thus the top 7 bats men of the opponent team got flushed away. The
Moment the next bats man came in tried to just stop the ball and take a quick
single, Siba quickly reacted and threw the ball to the runners end. Fielder at
face took
it and dashed the wickets, thus making the 8th bats man run out. The Whole team
crumbled like a stack of cards paving the way for an easy victory for our team.
That day was the keeper's day. Siba Ram Baral got man of the match for that
match plus also got the Best wicket keeper award for the whole tournament for
taking a total of 16 catches, 1 run out and 2 stumpings in a total of 4 matches
in that tournament. |

Critics
Answered
:
October month of 2010 have witnessed another unbelievable show by the team. Our
hard pace bowler Sitanshu have displayed a shivering show of magnificent batting
with rocket shots of sixes and fours that has smashed the critics belief that he
is only a bowler. Similarly Siba the all time wicket keeper has show equally
magnitude performance in batting and bowling. Took few key wickets and have
scored with a superb run rate. Critics are shocked. |
|
Best ever Opening wicket Partnership
:
During another eyebrow raising friendly battle
with Agiles Cricket Club, SJCC Opener Siba along with PQ started with a series of smashing shots across 360 degrees of
the ground and thus the target of 110 from 16 overs was achieved in just 8 overs.
A day to encircle on the calendar. |

Opener Batsman
Not out till Last
:
Yet another crucial match against Agiles team. They had the
toughest core full team and we were striving for the sake of head count. Only 3
players were there from our core team. We had to arrange the rest 8 players on adhoc. the match started with we winning the toss and choosing to bat
first. Need of the time was one consistent bats man who could rotate the
striking swiftly and stick to the pitch till at least first 10 overs. On their
first spell we saw Siba hit a swing arm spectacular six and the ball
vanishing over the boundary. first 2 overs the score was 21 runs. We got our
magic man. Siba stick to one end of the pitch with his spectacular branded
shots. Score was 16 over 128 runs for just 3 wickets. That's it. We had
confidence of the bowling part. Won the match by 13 runs. Siba had such
end to end innings performance even thrice earlier. |

Spectacular
wins with just half the team available
: Chilling bone
cracking cold morning of 4th December 2010,
Strongest Vikings team in front
and we were half the team in strength. Managed to fetch some guys for the sake
of numbers and started the game. Fist match 15 overs, target 100. Last ball 1
run required to win was majestically answered by a huge 6 by Siba. Second match we gave target as 85
in 10 overs, but could stop the mighty opponent for just 72. The Sun woke up to
say us ...."Hats off guys, the day is your". |
|
Our Highest
Score ever
: No words that even
a mere oxford English dictionary can provide us to recap our 28th May 2011
match summary. In that match against Anil's team we scored 200 out of just 15
overs loosing only 5 wickets ( Around 20 sixes and 11 fours ). With this we set
another record of continuous 17 times win in a series. Such a good team work I
had never seen ever in my life. Till 5th over we were only 30 runs for 3
wickets. but one middle order partnership of 120 runs could make us steal the
show and leave the opponent shocked with their mouth wide open. In response the
opponent could hardly make 72 runs against our wicket crushing bowlers. |
|
Maximum wins in
a series
: During
4th May 2011 and 16th July 2011, team SJCC won 17
continuous matches under captainship of Sri. Siba Ram Baral. Teams we defeated
were Yuva Shakti Cricket Club, Koramangala Team, HSR Cricket Club, X Factor Team and
Madhusudanan and Team. Matches were played across home and
foreign grounds. Followed by this there were many instances where our team have
won around 13 to 16 matches in a series. Please click on

A Win without
loosing any wicket
:
On 2nd July 2011 it was a match against Ganesh and
Team from Koramangala. With Target of 102 to be made in just 12 overs, batting
started with Sandeep and Prabhu as opener. Some spectacular boundaries kept the run rate as
13 plus and required run rate kept fading out. On the 10th Over it was a huge
six that made the ball vanish inside bush, thus marking the victory. We had
still no wickets lost. A great day to recall and ofcourse to repeat. |
|
Last minute
magic spell caused miracle
: Spectacular
team effort shown on 13th August 2011 in snatching out an almost lost match from
the jaws of Defeat to a breathing Draw. Opponent Accenture Team batted first and
made 107. We chasing a target of 108, lost early wickets and at one point the
match looked to be going out of hand. Then Siba batted really well and with some
quick risky runs we reached a point where we needed last ball 4 runs to win.
Although Siba could not be hit it to boundary, but still the lightning speed
running between the wickets made the opponent fielder try a direct throw in
hurry, but that prove gift for us in the form of bye runs and we could make 3 runs. Match
ended in a Draw. |
